Perfect Location
The cottage is located in a small development which will never be built out. It is a nature lover's paradise with lakes, mountains and tracks for tramping at its doorstep. Lake Ohau area is sheltered from the cold southerlies, so when places like Dunedin and Queenstown are being blasted by cold Antarctic air, Lake Ohau Village is generally calm and loving it.
Just as importantly, is the location of the cottage within the village itself. It faces north over a reserve and so will never have its lake and mountain view obstructed. The reserve is under council mandate to preserve the views of the villagers adjacent to it. The Lake Ohau Cottage is in a very enviable position.

Lake Ohau Cottage is between Twizel and Omarama. Turn off SH 8 halfway between Twizel and Omarama. There is a large Ohau sign at the turn off. Lake Ohau Alpine Village is 20 km, just past Lake Middleton. The entrance is signposted. Lake Ohau Cottage is the second home on the right after entering the village.
