The Lake Ohau Cottage is a an artist's treasure
The views of Lake Ohau and the Southern Alps are superb. The area is truly sublime, with rapidly changing weather, moods, and colours. When the weather is calm, the veranda or garden is a perfect location for en plein air painting. But when the weather is windy, you can retreat to the lounge and get glorious views sheltered from the wild forces of nature.
Here is Ben Ohau's Lover. It is the mountain that I see while sitting at the dining room table. She sits next to Ben Ohau in the Ben Ohau Range. I spent many enjoyable hours painting her voluptuous curves, from the inside comforts of the Lake Ohau Cottage.
